ABOUT CLUB
Defence authority
club is the first in the series of the clubs in DHA and was inaugurated
by Lt Gen Jehanzeb Arbab, Hj, Sj Comd 5 corps on 22 sep 1977.
It enjoys its own name and popularity for
its standard in general and for versatile variety of food, movie,
tambola and periodical musical functions in particular.
Dining facilities comparable to any good
five star hotel are available in the club. |

Tasks
- The membership of the Club will open
on four occasions in a year i.e 01 Jan, 01 Apr, 01 July, and 01 Oct.
The prospective members will have firstly to go through the interview
followed by interaction with Club Executive Committee then confirmation
of membership will be accorded. To make membership of Club a precious
commodity, a waiting period of one to three months will be applicable
prior to issue of call letter for interview by the Club Executive Committee.
- Every candidate for selection for Temporary
Membership shall be proposed and seconded by permanent members in such
form as the committee may prescribe. A permanent Member may propose
two and second two candidate in a calendar year.
- For Special Membership the applications
be countersigned by the respective Consulate/Embassy.
- Proposal form as and when received shall
be scrutinized in the Club Office from time to time, and after sifting
shall be put up to the committee in its meeting held for this purpose.
Those applicants under selection, who without any information, fail
to appear before the committee after three invitations, shall be considered
ineligible for any future consideration for selection. This condition
may be waived off by the Committee on case to case bases.
- No person shall apply for Temporary
membership who is less than 25 years of age, except members’ daughters
and sons who are married.
- The proposer and seconder shall however,
be liable, jointly and severally, for the dues of the candidate for
a period of two years after his selection.
- The proposer and seconder will be required
to introduce the applicant to the members of the Committee in a manner
so prescribed by the Committee. However, the Committee may, at its discretion,
exempt proposer and or seconder, from introduction to the committee
or any other condition at its discretion.
- The result of the committee meeting
will be communicated to all applicants including sponsors.
- The amount of entrance fee and security
deposited by an applicant, who fails to get selected, will be refunded.

New Sports Complex is under
construction which is likely to be completed by Dec 2009. The complex
will have following facilities:-

- Card Room
- 2 x Modern Gym (Separate for Ladies
& Gents)
- Tennis Courts

To avail the facilities
of these Clubs, members have to obtain introductory card from DAC Office.
The introductory cards issued will be for 10 days only. However its validity
period would be one month.
