ABOUT CLUB

The Defence Authority Country & Golf Club is spread over approximately 140 Acres. An 18 hole par 72 course with a total yardage of 6693 was initially designed by Mr. Donald Steel. The front nine holes were opened on 28 April 1997 and the back nine on 30 August 1998. Later on, the Clubhouse and the Administration block were constructed in January 2001. The Golf Course has been redeveloped to USGA Standard with night golfing facility and an automatic irrigation system. The present yardage of the course has been increased to 7120 to meet international standards.

Administrative Policy Management principals would be applied in the following order of priority:- Safety & Security: Ensure safety and security of all members and employees within the club premises. Rules & Regulations: All rules and regulations to be followed in their true letter and spirit.
Hygiene and Sanitation: Provide the best possible hygienic environment to all. Satisfaction of Members: Provide efficient and courteous services to the satisfaction of Club members. Profits: Profits to be maximized while keeping prices in check to maintain exclusivity of the Club. Exclusivity: Maintain exclusivity of the Club.

Tasks

All Committee meetings shall be chaired by the Chairman DAC&GC and in his absence by the Senior Member of the Committee. The Committee meeting may be held monthly/quarterly or whenever needed. Five members shall forum a quorum
The Committee may, from time to time, make bye-laws for regulating the management of the club or any activity. The committee may from time to time vary, add to, or cancel bye-laws so made.
Every bye-law, at any time made, shall take effect on and from the day on which it is posted in the premises of the Club. By-laws shall have the same force as the rule of the club provided they are not inconsistent with them.
The Committee shall have the power to appoint any sub-committee selected from their own members or such other members of the Club as they deem expedient and to lay down their charter of duties.
The committee will have power to expend all finances required to maintain the Club and its properties.
The validity of any decision or act of the committee shall not be in any way questioned or affected once a proper quorum of the Committee has approved the decision.
The Committee shall have the power to appoint the club Captain, Vice Captain and Lady Captain for any period.

Future Planning / Approved Projects

Sports and Fitness Arena

Club management is planning to have a Sports and Fitness Arena adjacent to Convention Center.

Reciprocal Affiliation

Club management is negotiating affiliation with following Clubs in Pakistan:-.

The Club is also negotiating affiliation with golf clubs in Thailand in the near future.
