DA montessori objective CURRICULUM During his stay at the Montessori the child learns the skills of reading and writing both English and Urdu. Numbers both in abstract and concrete forms. Last but not the least, emphasis is laid of the grooming of the child through various exercises of Grace & Courtesy. CONFIDENCE The Montessori environment aims
at developing confidence and independence in a child. Exercise of practical
life enables the child to achieve this goal. The concept introduced has to be clear and concrete. A lot of emphasis is to be laid on project oriented teaching, educational trips are a major part in this context. ENVIRONMENT As Montessori is an extension of home, friendly caring environment is maintained. The child has the liberty of movement, he can choose the activity of his choice. The most important is his easy access. The environment is colourful, bright & fully equipped with Montessori material & equipment. A child in such a prepared environment indirectly learns and absorb without even realizing the continuous learning process. TEACHERS Trained Montessori Directresses are inducted. Directresses are a role model for the child. They have to be very careful in their speech, language, dressing, gestures regularity & punctuality. The Directresses are exposed to various educational workshops and are also given on job training. COMMITTEE / COORDINATORS Coordinators have been appointed at each level.
PARENT TEACHER MEETING Parents teacher meeting
is held on quarterly basis. Parents are briefed about their wards progress.
Recommendations, complaints, suggestions are fully entertained. Suggestion
Book is conveniently placed for suggestions by the parents which is forwarded
to Director Education for perusal. |
