DA Public School (O&A Levels) facilities The Library Hall The library halls are located in the central block. The three spacious library halls are well stocked with blocks catering to the multifarious interest and needs of students. The Library has regular subscription to international and national periodicals and newspaper. The Computer lab The computer lab is equipped with 35 Pentium IV machines, networked in a windows 2000 environment with 4 mbps DSL internet connection. A full time teacher is available for assistance and research guidance. The students are provided with application software and are encouraged to use the facility. Each computer lab is fitted with a computer workshop area for class maintenance of hardware & software. Reading Rooms Reading rooms are a boom of those students who wish to continue and study in solitude and make the best of their free periods. Research Rooms Equipped with multimedia system and designed to accommodate about hundred people, the presentation room is a hub of activity. Class Rooms Spacious, well ventilated and modern class rooms are equipped with glass boards. Each class room holds lockers for individual students and is furnished with sturdy and comfortable furniture. Career Counseling Special career counseling services are provided to students seeking assistance for higher education opportunities, both: within and outside Pakistan. Lectures and briefing sessions are arranged with professionals from different faculties to provide feedback to students on the demands and requirements of different professional careers and also on exploring new avenues in these fields. Science Lab Each one of the science laboratories is well designed, modern and stocked with the latest apparatus. Advance level labs have been designed to cater to the needs of ‘A’ level syllabi. Houses Healthy and group wise competition is provided at inter house basis. Running trophy is awarded to the winning house each year. Cafeteria A modern cafeteria is designed to house more than hundred students and to arrange parties on a few hours notice is aesthetically designed and a delight for the gastronomical connoisseurs. Co-Curricular Activities & Student Council A creative, responsible, dynamic and skilled student body is the heart and soul of this school. Youth are encouraged and groomed to become leaders and role models for juniors and to channelize and challenge their mutual interest on positive lines based community-centered approach. Achievements The school can rightfully boast of its hundred percent results at O Levels, with a considerable number of them securing ‘A’ grades in all subjects. Students have also brought laurels to school by winning prizes at inter-school elocution contests, dramatic events, science exhibitions and poster competition. Extra Curricular Activities The school also offers an exclusive physical education program. We have qualified and experienced physical instructors and coaches for both outdoor and indoor sports activities. Students excel in sports competitions at Asian level, National level and Interschool championships in a wide variety of activities ranging from swimming to yachting, golf, cricket, basketball, football and table tennis. Medical Facilities A qualified doctor and a nursing assistant are available on full time basis to examine and maintain health record. First aid is provided in case of emergencies. Regular counseling, training in first aid updates on health and hygiene are also provided by the school doctor. School Transport Transport facility is provided to students and teachers subject to availability of seats and route on payment of transport charges as per distance. Parent Teacher Meeting Parent-Teacher meetings are held regularly once in two months to discuss the performance of the students.
