Jami nullah

Jami Nullah enters DHA premises at Sunset Boulevard and discharges in Mahmoodabad Drain. Total length of this decades old open drain is approximately 2800 mtrs between Sunset Boulevard and Mehmoodabad Drain. Jami Nullah carries sewage of Punjab Colony, adjoining localities and DHA areas including boosting lines from Nisar Shaheed Park. Jami Nullah also caters for storm water drainage of this area. Width of existing nallah varies between 8 to 10 feet with variable depth of 6 to 10 feet. Existing structure comprises of PCC walls and bed.

Kh-e-Jami is a major link road between Kh-e-Itehad and Commercial Avenue and traffic movement is increasing day by day on this road. As a first step, DHA has undertaken covering of Kh-e-Jami nullah. After the construction of covering of Jami nullah foul smell will be controlled, Parking area will be increased to allow smooth flow of traffic. An alternate road will be available for speedy access to Gizri and surrounding areas there by congestion of traffic will be minimized on Sunset Boulevard.
