A Summer Camp was setup at Central Library DHA for kids of the
age group between 3 to 12 years to have a fascinating opportunity
of learning through fun. More than forty students attended the
summer camp 2008.
The aim of the camp was to develop creativity, reading habits,
computer skills and social interaction among kids. The specially
designed curriculum for the summer program included reading and
story telling, creative writing, arts & craft, learning and
listening skills through computers.
A host of other interesting activities like music and movie shows,
drawing and coloring, swimming (at DHA Sunset Club) and educational
field trips to Zoo, Mazar-e-Quaid, Mohatta Palace and Frere Hall
Museum etc were also part of the Summer Camp itinerary.
The venue of the camp was Children's Library at Central Library
DHA. The Children's library is centrally air conditioned and fully
equipped with modern gadgetry like computers, big screen TV and
other audio visual aids besides beautiful toys and a collection
of four thousand colorful and informative books for kids.
