Karachi, Mar 24: Pakistan Day was celebrated in DHA with traditional zeal and fervor to commemorate the 79th anniversary of the adoption of the resolution by All India Muslim League on 23 March, 1940 which led to the creation of Pakistan. The offices and buildings of DHA which were illuminated included DHA Head Office, DA Clubs, DHACSS Institutions and Defence Central Library etc. These buildings were tastefully lit up which emanated colourful lights showcasing the love and devotion of the nation for the country.
Different functions were held in various DHA Schools/Colleges and clubs which included singing of national songs, milli naghmas and national anthem by the spirited students of DHACSS Institutions beaming with confidence and pride. Speeches were made by students to highlight the significance of the occasion. Flag Hoisting Ceremonies were also held to celebrate the day in a befitting manner.
In DA Sunset Club, students of DHACSS Phase-IV Campus celebrated the day in a colourful and joyous manner. The school band and choir presented music and songs in an exhilarating manner. This was followed by magic show and singing of national songs of 1965 by Usted Ishtiaq Ahmed Bashir in his melodious voice. Students of DHACSS Seaview presented a colourful and delightful programme in Defence Authority Club. DA Creek Club presented a festive look and held many exciting and beautiful programmes to celebrate the occasion.
Brig Ibrar Hussain Bhatti, Administrator DHA in a message said that 23 March signifies the beginning of journey of resolve. He said that we must join hands and work with a reviewed resolve to build a strong, prosperous and progressive Pakistan with a rejuvenated spirit of devotion and dedication.
