Karachi, Nov 21: Defence Authority Iqra Model School is an exclusive institution that imparts a unique combination of academic and religious education to young students to produce enlightened and educated individuals of the society. The School has kept its glorious traditions of maintaining highest standards of Hifz-e-Quran and Husn-e-Qirat alive which is a source of distinction for the institution.
26th All Karachi Inter Schools Hifzul Quran and Husn-e-Qirat Competition 2017 was held under aegis of Defence Authority Iqra Model School at the Auditorium of DHA Degree College for Women Phase-VIII. 36 students from 18 reputed institutions of Karachi participated. Maulana Mufti Khalid Mahmood CEO Iqra Rauzatul Atfal Trust Pakistan was the chief guest on the occasion.
In Husn-e-Qirat Competition, Muhammad Ikramah of DA Iqra Model School Phase-VIII got first position, Muhammad of Al Ma'arif High School Gulzar e Hijri stood 2nd and Hafiz Usama Gulsher of DA SKBZ College got 3rd position. In Hifzul Quran Competition, Hafiza Uzma Shareef of DA Neelum High School stood first, Hafiz Muhammad Ajmal Khan of Al Ma'arif High School Gulzar e Hijri stood 2nd and Hafiza Qanita Binte Zubair of DA Iqra Model School Phase-VIII got 3rd position. Winner's Trophy was won by DA Iqra Model School Phase-VIII.
Principal Hafiz Tahir Abdullah Siddiqui highlighted the significance of primary education with Hifz-e-Quran. He said that the school besides academics laid great stress on inculcating sound moral and true Islamic values in the students to make them forward looking and progressive citizens of society. Captain Sajid Mahmood (Retd) PN, Addl Director Education was also present on the occasion.
At the end, the chief guest distributed certificates and shields among the position holders.
