Karachi, Dec 21: Defence Authority Neelum High School has a glorious history of evolution and is an embodiment of enlightenment and optimism in its essence. The School was established in 1992 as a Urdu medium primary school basically for children from modest background of the adjacent localities. The institution made an epic struggle over the years to transform itself into a qualitative English Medium High School which maintains highest standards of excellence in the field of academic and co-curricular activities.
The school celebrated its Silver Jubilee with great zeal and enthusiasm. Begum Administrator DHA Brig Shahid Hassan Ali was the chief guest on the occasion. The chief guest opened the celebrations by cutting a ribbon initiating day long festivities organized in an aesthetic and colourful manner.
The entire School was turned into five Provinces of Pakistan with creative vision depicting the culture, cuisines and dresses of the provinces of Punjab, Sindh, KPK, Baluchistan, Gilgit Baltistan and the beautiful region of Kashmir in a fascinating manner. It was a lively and colourful festival with music, traditional folk dances and cultural activities going around amid great fanfare. The creativity, originality, vitality and the galvanizing spirit of the event was par excellence on all accounts.
Begum Administrator paid glowing tributes to the school and described it as a shining example of courage, perseverance and excellence for other educational institutions to emulate. The Principal Ms Shazia Saleem highlighted the achievements of students in all fields of activities and said that the school provided a stimulating and vibrant educational environment for students to develop their optimum potential.
A large number of alumina, students and parents joined the celebrations with great joy, fervour and sense of accomplishment. It was a memorable function which will be remembered for a long time.
