Chevron 9th All Pakistan DHA Karachi Cup Open Golf Championship 2018

Karachi, May 13: 9th All Pakistan DHA Karachi Cup Open Golf Championship 2018 sponsored by Chevron was played at Defence Authority Country & Golf Club from 10 May to 13 May 2018. More than 300 golfers from all over the country including Pakistan No.1 and defending champion Waheed Baloch with other top professionals from all over the country participated in Rs 2.5 Million tournament. An impressive prize distribution ceremony was held at the conclusion of the tournament at DHA Golf Club in which Administrator DHA Brig Shahid Hassan Ali was the chief guest.

The Administrator appreciated Defence Authority Country & Golf Club for organizing a spectacular golf tournament in which a large number of golfers participated. He said that holding of such mega tournaments is encouraging as they help in promotion of golf in the country. The chief guest added that golfing is a lively activity that reflects healthy and positive trends in society so essential for an enlightened, progressive and prosperous nation.

Matloob Ahmed captured the crown in Chevron DHA Karachi Cup All Pakistan Open Golf Championship 2018 with a score of 207 and collected the trophy, Muhammad Shabbir with a score of 211 was runners up of the championships. Prizes were also given in senior professionals, senior veterans, ladies, juniors and masters categories.

At the end the chief guest Administrator DHA distributed trophies and prizes among the winners in various categories. Mr Muhammad Najam Shamsuddin, Country Chairman and Area Business Manager of Chevron Pakistan Lubricants (Pvt) Ltd was also present on the occasion. A large number of golfers and guests attended the ceremony.
