Mutation is referred to the entire process in which the title of ownership of a leased property is transferred to another person. The registration/updation of record for leased properties in CBC, MEO and DHA by the owner(s) in their names which are already transferred in Sub-Registrar-I, Clifton Town office on the basis of Sub-Lease, Sale/Conveyance/Gift deeds etc is called mutation of property.

Approval of the Authority is required if an open plot is required to be sub-divided. In case, sub-lease of a plot has already been executed, a surrender deed will be executed with the Sub-Registrar before a request for division of plot is made.
